RS Waste Services, Inc., was originally started in 2000 by Nita and Jay Bailey as a Sole Proprietorship dba Rest Stop Portable Toilets. While looking for new homes, Nita noticed that the portable toilets she came across always seemed to be in need of servicing. Believing there had to be a better way Nita made it her mission to set a new standard for portable toilets on construction sites that actually included weekly cleaning so each toilet was bearable to enter.
RS Waste Services, Inc. was incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas in August 2001, and is colloquially known in the industry as Rest Stop Portable Toilets. The mission of our company includes providing portable sanitation services for both commercial and residential construction sites, industrial facilities, as well as special events. In addition to portable toilets, we also provide hand wash stations, hand sanitizing stations, holding tanks for construction trailers, and ADA units.
Before resigning in 2010 to devote her full attention to the growth of RS Waste Services, Inc., Nita worked for a manufacturer of aluminum cover structures for twenty-six years. During her tenure, she had experience with many facets of the company but was primarily focused on sales. In 1996, Nita was promoted to Manager of North American Sales, and was promoted again in 1998 to Vice President of North American Sales.
Nita has been a member of two national organizations: the Water Environment Federation (WEFTEC) and the American Water Work Association (AWWA). As an active member, she served on the Manufacturers and Representatives Committee, the WEFTEC Structure Task Force, and the Membership Task Force. In addition, she chaired the Innovative Technology Forum Subcommittee. She was elected to serve on the governing board of WEFTEC as a House of Delegate member representing all manufacturers and representatives in 2002.
Nita is listed as a member of the D103 Revision Task Force committee that was responsible for writing a standard for design of aluminum dome structures which is part of the AWWA design standards used today.
On the state level, Nita participated in the Water Environment Association of Texas (WEAT) and chaired the first seminar presenting new technology ideas for the treatment of water and wastewater.
Locally, Nita served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce from January 1998 through December 2001. She also served as chair of the Marketing Committee for the Greater Conroe/Lake Conroe Area Chamber of Commerce.
